Pat Carroll is a sophomore at George Mason University and is majoring in Criminology and minoring in Electronic Journalism.
He considers himself an aspiring sports journalist, and would ultimately like to write for a sports media outlet in one shape or another.
In high school at Colonial Forge in Stafford, Va., Carroll got his start writing for the student newspaper, The Talon. After moving on to college, he did free-lance with the school’s student newspaper, Broadside and was eventually hired as an assistant sports editor. During his tenure there, he covered a variety of sports from men’s and women’s basketball, to men’s soccer and health and nutrition.
After a year at Broadside, he is now in the transition process of writing for the website Connect2Mason, an online source for GMU news.
