The new face of the NBA has finally joined the social network created by fellow Harvard alum Mark Zuckerberg.
New York Knicks point guard and worldwide phenomenon Jeremy Lin recently made a Facebook profile.
But how is this a story?
Well, pretty much everything Lin does these days is news-worthy. You can’t turn on ESPN or any cable network for that matter without some reference of Lin in the broadcast. He has captivated the sporting world and his popularity is only just beginning.
Since he was named a starter by coach Mike D’Antoni, Lin’s Twitter handle, @JLin7 has been mentioned 215,408 times and his name has been mentioned over 2.5 million times.
The question is will Lin’s fame last or will it fade over time?
